Alterations and additions to an existing home in Naremburn, in the Naremburn Central Township Heritage Conservation Area. Compliance was through a Development Application through Willoughby Council.
The project was a full restoration of the existing cottage. The rear room was existing but disconnected from the rest of the house, so the middle portion of the house was removed and replaced with a new light filled open kitchen and dining area. The bathrooms were moved to the second bedroom to allow for an ensuite and main bathroom.
Sustainability was a very important aspect of the project, re-using spaces, bringing in light and keeping the project compact.
Contemporary Architecture was involved throughout the whole project, from Design through to the end of Contract Administration.
