Alterations and additions to an existing Federation brick home in Willoughby Council.
Naremburn House 1 transforms from a traditional Federation home at the front to an open contemporary home at the rear. The transition point occurs when you go down stairs to a living/dining space, or up cantilevered stairs to the master bedroom and study. The design focus of the home is a stone clad fireplace which wraps around from the living room into the kitchen/ family room and up into the master bedroom above. The project was constructed by Jarvis Constructions who won a Master Builders Association Award for it in 2012 for the Alterations and Additions between $1 million and $1.5 million category.
DA approval through Willoughby Council took one month. Contemporary Architecture was involved in all stages of the design, approval, construction documentation, interior design and contract administration.
