MOSMAN HOUSE 3

A new multi-storey house in Mosman. Compliance was a Development Application through Mosman Council.

This contemporary house has been designed to take full advantage of its stunning outlook over Middle Harbour. The northern side of the home has large openings capturing the panoramic views and bringing in North-Eastern light. The levels of the house are stepped to follow the slope of the land with the lower garage and entry levels excavated into the slope. The circulation spine through the middle of the house has floating stairs and a large void which floods the space with natural daylight from the skylights above. To the rear, the living spaces flow into a large outdoor entertaining area, pool and rear yard. The aesthetics of the house include a combination of slimline face bricks, vertical cladding, hardwood timber, render and stone cladding on the outside and contemporary detailing inside.

The entire project took 2 years from the beginning to the end. DA approval took six months and Contemporary Architecture was involved in the design, approval, construction documentation and interior design stages of the project. We designed the kitchen, laundry, study, bathrooms, living room joinery and pool to the clients specifications.
