Alterations and additions to an existing home within Artarmon Heritage Conservation Area, Willoughby City Council. Compliance was a Development Application through Willoughby City Council.
This project is alterations and additions to what was a large existing dilapidated home. The original front rooms have been restored and at the rear a contemporary single-storey addition has been added with an open plan kitchen, dining and living area, opening on to a new outdoor covered entertaining space addressing the new pool and landscaping. What was originally a detached rear jumble of rooms is now an open light filled family space which will meet the clients needs for many years.
DA approval of the house took two months and the entire project took one and a half years from beginning to end. Contemporary Architecture was involved in all stages of the design, approval, construction documentation, interior design and contract administration.
